1-inch = 25.4-mm. This ant is huge! The jaws alone are 4-mm long.

Your last image of the jaws is impressive, demonstrating good control of equipment and set-up.

Thankyou everyone , they are quite common here . they are aggressive and rear up to defend themslves. The bite is very painful. We have a red and black ant that is bigger but not as common.

He is pretty gruesome Geff. He was a bit large for my new extension rings , Still all good practice. :thumbup: :D
