How to add a photo to my profile

How do you add a photo to my profile or ???? as it gets displayed on the left side to show you who you are with a topic or a replay?

Go to my profile at the top of this page and click it. Page down to the bottom of the next page and you will find avatar click update avatar or choose file then look through your photos. Choose one, open it and that should be it.
