As you see he was on his web and did we have wind today. On top of that he kept moving. Took several pictures and these 3 are not very good but the better ones. Never could get a head shot due to where the web was. Never could get the light like I wanted but did change several times. Think the problem was he was within a foot of my home and it is an off white.

It's Leucage venusta, the orchard spider. It's tough to get the shot you want in the wind. Good job, though.

Thank you GYM, yes wind plays havoc and we have had our fair share lately.

Considering it was windy I think these are great. I have a horrible time getting a clear photo in the wind.
This spider is beautiful.

I used to call these "Orchid" orbweavers, until I realized that I had mis-read the word Orchard.

Great captures windy or not,never seen one of these before I don't think.
