What would be the better camera to use for taking Macro shots, D70, D3100 or D5100? Thanks

You have all three cameras, try each on the same thing and post. I would be interested in seeing if there is a difference. Don't forget to click the "(store original)" box.

I suggest the lightest weight camera, which is either the D3100 (14.2 Mp) or the D5100 (16 Mp).
You will be adding significant weight with a macro lens, speedlight, grip, and connectors.

the d70 is only 6mp's (i think) i switched from that to the d5100.it made a big difference.

Yes I have changed back to my 450D from the 7D as everything together sure adds weight quick and with my old hands it sure makes a difference. Thinking about a small flash now
