Thank you. I believe you are correct at identifying her as a Bold Jumper. Phidippus Andox. I think she is female also.

I used a YN560 speedlight with a home made diffuser.
The diffuser is similar to these only with the Magic Cover shelf paper as the diffusion material. I am using a D3000 and an old 100mm vivitar lens. Some day I will have a "real" macro lens. :mrgreen:

Thank you. I have another spider sitting in my holding jar just waiting to be photographed. I have to figure out how I am going to do it though as he is huge and FAST!

I have "built" a small moss-based diorama for photographing spiders, ala Martin of Florida. I can move to appropriate background. Chill spider in refrigerator, then position on diorama.
