The Orange County Triathalon in Mission Viejo. I set myself up at four different points along the course and snapped a few photos. C&C is welcome.

Thanks Donna. I like #3 too. It really pushes the direction of the swimmers to the right.

#8 is not bad. Needs a little more space on the right but the shot is pin sharp (at least on my monitor). And #6 for a giggle.

Great shots Brent. Wish I was in that good of physical shape. I jog out to get my newspaper in the morning.

This race was only 1/4 of the distance of what the Ironman in Hawaii is all about. THOSE people are the real animals!

You really get some amazing "sports" shots. What particularly caught my eye in this series was the light in the second shot, but I'd have to agree about #3 & 4. All of the shots tell a story on their own and combined. Well done.

I wouldn't do that Sontog.......you could pull a muscle doing that.

Thank you Vicksart. The second shot was just lucky with the timing of the sun hitting the transition area just perfectly. I like it that you caught the vision that I had of "telling the story"........not just snapshots of the race.

Wow, Brent! Something traditional! What? Did you do this just to show everybody that you can do real photography too? LOL I guess you did :) You nailed it on so many levels here. So now what are you going to do to get these people out of the box?

I think I am more partial to #3 for the action in the beginning of the event, #6 and #9 have the complete bike. I just have a thing about cutting off parts, whether it be body parts or cars, bikes etc. I know sometimes it can't be avoided and they look better but to me it has the complete image. I still cut off parts because I have a tendency to zoom in too close. I am trying to push things farther away and then crop with Photoshop if I need to.
