First time this has happened at the feeder. I thought it was a grosbeak, but it isn't.

Not a hummer, they are tiny compared to this one. Don't know what bird it is.
It is an imposter, and doing a very poor attempt at it.

Looks like a Baltimore Oriole.

It's an oriole. We have a family of them that spends a lot of time draining the hummingbird feeder. I think yours is the Northern Oriole and mine is the Hooded variety. BTW Nice shots.
Maybe not a hummingbird; but a nice set of photos.

Thanks everyone. I've never had anything but hummingbirds on my feeders before. This one brought his family.

I believe that is a Bullock's Oriole...but the last photo must be a Hummingbird of some kind...wow that is so cool!! Could that last photo be a Rufous Hummingbird?

I hadn't thought of that Linda. I wonder if that is what it is. I wish I could have gotten a better picture but he was in and out so fast. I do have one more that I will post.
I've been looking on internet since you posted the photo. I can't find anything that is even remotely close :(

This is the other shot I have of him. I have my good lens on, window washed, and laying in wait for his return. I have looked in all of my bird books and am at a loss as to what he is.
sorry for the poor shot, but this is all I have
Possible a black chined humming bird ?
They have feeders specifically for Orioles. Nice pics.

He looks like a Rufous but the wings aren't green. I hope I see him again
