Another Nikon ViewNX2 Question

I use Nikon's ViewNX2 to download from camera to 'puter. Sometimes, not always, when I browse pics with ViewNX2 there will be a red rectangle. Is that showing my focus point or my spot metering? Example is cropped, rectangle usually shows in the middle.

When you open 'View'. 'Focus Point' appears at the left of the top bar. It can be clicked 'on' or 'off' as desired. It can't be selected once the pic has received any editing.

Very good! It's on the previous screen from where I was and, as you know, it was on. Good for helping to evaluate pics but NOT helpful without knowing what it is. Thanks!
