I'm a big fan of using UV filters on all of my lens to protect them for getting scratched or damaged, especially when I'm outdoors.
Can any recommend a good UV filter that doesn't aid in lens flare? Especially when shooting outdoors. It's such a pain, typically I would just try to remove it from the photo, but sometimes that is just a headache.
Thank you!
You can buy Lens Protector filters that are not UV, which protect your lenses. Most, unless special, Digital Single lens Reflex cameras have already a UV filter across the cameras sensor.
If you have quality lenses and want the best, then Lee Filters are the best you can buy and are hand made, so you will pay for the quality. Followed by B + W Filters, Tiffin and Hoya Pro Filters.
Any decent uv filter has multi-coating on both sides will reduce that problem. Hoya, B+H, etc. but don't buy cheap, get the best you can.

I use Nikon NC filters, they're completely clear.
Again.. as it has been said, don't buy cheap- it is the old story- you get what you pay for. Also remember what ever you put in front of the lens, is going to lower the quality of the photo. Enough said!
