For some reason....the SB29 flash doesn't show up at all in the data. Camera pop-up flash is when used....but not this one. I checked the camera flash settings...nowhere to enter a flash unit. Any ideas? Nikon View NX2.

Am I safe to think that Nikon View NX2 is the program that came with your camera?

If so, have you opened a folder with images in Windows Explorer, click on an image and see what exif info is given in the bottom bar? (you may have to widen that bottom bar by dragging the top edge up).

You are talking about the ringlight, correct?
Probably because it's an older flash (2002).
Do you only use it manually?

To be fair, Canon's MR 14EX is a great ring light and still being made. Nikon doesn't even offer one any longer.

Bret, I think I'd take this one to Nikon. It may be something as simple as updating the firmware of your camera, also. But, I'd bet Nikon wants to know about this one.

Sorry that I don't have a recommendation better than this.
