Hummingbird vs Sweat Bee

Taken with 55-300mm kit lens with Nikon D5100 @f.8, 1/4000 sec., ISO 2500, 180mm. The picture quality is not so good but I just liked the Hummingbird and the sweat bee looks like they are squaring off while the ant is gobbling up the sugar water on the feeder.

Hummingbird/sweat bee!
Hummingbird/sweat bee!...

Bet you didn't plan to get all three critters in your picture?
Actually, your "sweat bee" is a wasp...
I have not yet tried my hand at hummingbirds, will have to hang a feeder, as my daughter-in-law removed the hanging planters they used to come for.

Pure luck Ester that I got all three critters. Thank you for looking at my post and thank you very much for the info on my wasp that I thought was a sweat bee. Did not know.

No sir. I'm sure I won't. However, I took a peek at a few of your posts! I'm honored you took the time to view my little shot. You sound like the kind of person I could sit down and just listen to your photo journey story of your life for hours. Thanks again for your comment.

A beer and a chat would be a treat for me, anytime.

You are so right! Pure luck on this one. I was using my 55-300mm kit lens. Just a few weeks later I came across a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 used for a very good price. Wish I could have used it for this shot. Just glad I got the shot I guess. Thank you for looking and taking the time to comment.
