Serif put Photo Plus on sale for $15 this week. I've always been curious. I already have PSE and Lightroom - would adding this to my arsenal be benficial at all?

Where are you? I see it selling for $89.99 in the U. S. That's for X6. If they're offering that for $15, I'd grab it. It might offer one little feature that you don't have in other programs. Can you post a link to that?

Jerryc41, how impure you are to consider anything but Photoshops latest issue!!
I have a previous release of Photo Plus and found it does indeed do somethings better than PSE.. what, I do not recall since I do my work with PSP X-5. Yes, well worth grabbing for 15 and if you consider the price difference between PP and other "Adobe" programs big difference... Yep.

I've been called a lot of things over the years, but I don't think "impure" has come up yet. :D

I have a bunch of non-Adobe programs, and I use what I think I need at the time.

Here you go. It's X5 with some freebies added on. (I'm on their mailing list...)

I wonder what they added to X6. I doubt that it's worth $74 over X5.

jERRY, o'impure one who uses other than photoshop.... I agree use a variety of programs that do whatever better... eg if I want to print and dump the aspect ration I have a very old program that does what I tell it to... and it does. MGI 4.

Looked up a review on X6... "PhotoPlus Organizer, PhotoPlus X6’s image management program, seems little changed from PhotoPlus X5."

I shoot raw on my Canon 60D. Even though my camera is over two year old, Photoplus x5 and x6 do not support my Canon RAW files so this product is useless to me. Anyone considering purchasing it to perform RAW processing should confirm whether it will read their camera's format correctly.

I've used Serif for years.I now use X6 and,say what you like, it's as good as anything on the market. If you have X5 don't bother to get X6, there's not enough difference.
The thing about serif is,it is user friendly and I think easier to use than Adobe products

The current offer for X5 is for the Starter Edition. Do you know how good that is?
