There are not too many farms or barns around here anymore but there is a dairy farm just a few miles up the road. I drove up to it this morning in the rain and took a few pictures.

And one more old barn. I used to play in it as a child as it used to belong to my great grandfather,Fred Pheasant. My namesake, My name, Fred, was handed down to my father and then given to me, all in memory of Pa Pheasant. I think the barn is still in use today as the present owners keep a couple of horses or so. and lastly an old barn within our community, used today as a garage and whatever?

Thank you for the invite. Love to -wanted to go to the photo shoot out there but..having trouble detaching responsibilities at home and work. But I can dream, can't I?

Gotta Dream. :) I live in Colorado and can't get away from work to join the rest. Would sure love to, though. If they could sneak over to the Western Slope one day, could be a remote possibility.
But come on out another time and we'll do a tour and shoot.

This one was a very happy one. There was lots of junk that brought in some cash. Dad actually initiated the process and we were glad to step in and help. None of us knew what we would do with 5 tractors at long distance travels. There was stuff in the barn that came from my great grand parents place that was lost to a bank in the depression. A lot of work but it was a fun time.
