I'm a three percenter because the whole thing is cyclic.

Global Warming and Global Cooling are cyclical functions. I disagree with the consensus in that we are going through Global Warming, but we definitely did not cause it. At best we are adding to it, but not causing it.

Could we have a show of hands on that?

I am a skeptical 97% with leanings toward 3%. What is left out of this consensus report is who funded all of those 4000 studies. A federal government that is salivating about attaching a carbon tax to anything remotely connected to fossil fuel certainly has a vested interest in studies that corroborate human-caused-climate-change. Any study that is independently funded with no agenda would have, in my view, more validity.

All you have to do is look at the "data" used at the Tokyo Summit - a chart showing fossilized tree ring data and air temperature samples - ON THE SAME CHART !!! This was swallowed whole, and not questioned !! If you need to falsify data to "prove" your theory, I think your whole theory is suspect.

I have yet to find, anywhere, air temperature data (Outside of Urban Heat islands), that differ in any significant way from the 1860's. Glaciers and polar ice ARE shrinking, but that has more to do with precipitation patterns (cycles, if you will) than temperature!

The scientific community tells us
1. that the last glacial period ended about 10,000 years ago.
2. The seas started rising as the ice melted.
3. Books on the UK tell us that around 6000 BC or 8000 years ago England was cut off from the rest of Europe by rising water.
4. The deepest part of the strait of Dover is about 150 feet deep or 30 meters. One could reasonably conclude that in 6000 years the oceans have raised 30 meters or an average of 5 millimeters/ year.
5. Even science tells us that the global warming has been occurring for the last 10,000 years.
6 having global warming scientists whose jobs depend on it being a man made event telling us it is man made is self serving and should be viewed with suspension.
7. As I research for info I find even reliable sources have significant conflicting information as to the rate of change and I suggest that one be very careful about numbers presented. If the source can not do simple math and get it correct I distrust them.

I believe global warming is occurring and has been for the last 10,000 years. I am not convinced that man burning carbon based fuels is a significant contributor. While being educated to be an Mechanical Engineer a book on experiments stated " that as soon as you decide to run an experiment you have influenced the result by choosing the methods". I believe that scientists and politicians that say there is man made global warming are in it for the money, taxes to redistribute wealth and the need to "change the world for what they think is better".

In my opinion, the current @#%&## is nothing more than an ego trip, a grab for power, prestige and money.

In the 70's we went thru the same thing - the stuff going into the atmosphere would take us to another ice age if we didn't do something about man-made polution.

Saw an article - maybe on UHH - that an animal shelter was being over run by kittens and the high birth rate was because of global warming.

Who believes government/scientists these days, really?

Remember the Trudeau years, there was supposed to
be an oil shortage, the oil was running out, ya right.

It created long line ups at the pumps.
Get your last tank full, the sky is falling!

What a load of .......

All scientific studies show that climate change is cyclic. However, as some have mentioned, perhaps we have caused it to change sooner than it would have if we had not put so much crap into the system. So, in a lot of ways, it is our fault. No matter the how and why, we need to address greenhouse gases and find solutions because it may not be a very pretty world for our descendents. And who knows, we may just be back around again ourselves. If everything is cyclic, the perhaps we are also. hmmm?
