Those were very helpful.
Thanks

Interesting thing is, I saw even less reason to consider Lightroom. Granted that video was from 2010, and both Elements 11 and Camera RAW have improved greatly since then.

This would depend on what your goals are. How artistic, creative, and perfect do you want to go with your hobby? And how much time, and money are you willing to spend? The ideal for post processing seems to be Lightroom plus Photoshop, with additional plug-ins to fill in the gaps that these two don't cover to your satisfaction: such as OnOne, Photomatix, Nik, etc. For me, post processing is about 75% of my photo experience, so I go overboard, and my wallet suffers. But....fun is fun.

Thanks Rebel, and I agree. I'm finding plenty of options to help enhance my photos. It takes a lot of time reviewing which hold the most value without duplicating what you already own.

Brett, sorry I didn't notice the date of that video. I'm still researching what best fits my purposes. I like the ability to do batch processing in LR. Does Elements provide that now?

I select multiple photos at once in Camera RAW and made adjustments. I believe you can do the same in Elements, but haven't had a need to yet.

I did see you can do some video editing in Lightroom, but since I already have Elements, I can get Premeire Elements much cheaper than Lightroom.

Now like others have already said, you can get free trials and judge for yourself. If you have access to Sam's Club and can take advantage of the $50 offer for Elements (normally %100), I can't imagine a package with more bang for the buck.

That's why I am interested in Elements but OnOne For Lightroom is also on sale for a limited time ($99..00) and seems to offer similar features as Elements plus more! So if that is true then I would just buy OnOne. My problem is I don't have enough time to try out these products before the sale is over.

So maybe I will just buy both. They both work with the Lightroom workflow.

My suggestion would be to download the trial version of OnOne Software and try it for 30 days. I use PS CS6 and OnOne. With Adobe talking about the upcoming (moving to the cloud) issue I will be moving more to OnOne and using CS6 as long as the features in PS are relevant. I have found the people at OnOne to be excellent help when needed. OnOne also has some wonderful Webinars.
Sorry, no help with Elements.

Good shooting

What if you already own Elements 11 and its Camera RAW? I'm working with a trial version of Lightroom, but not seeing anything to justify the expense, yet.

Anyone know of any good LR tutorials that would show me what I can't do with Elemenets 11 and Camera RAW?
