I took thses of my daughter last weekend. I do not have off camera lights, so i improvised with a lamp in the living room. The skin tone looks unnatural, is there any way of fixing the skin tone? I did work on it a little with photo shop, to no avail. I still do not like the skin tone, and i am sure it is because of a regular lamp as lighting. I used a black velvet backdrop, and the lamp was directional to her right. She is due on May 30 th, so I may not be able to re-do the shot, but waht do you think for a first attempt at a Baby bump?
My daughter's baby bump
To me it looks "natural" as I adjust my thinking to the light source.
You appear to be using standard light bulbs so it is a White Balance issue. Set WB to incandescent (usually shows a light bulb), or adjust white balance in your pp software.

Thank you for the suggestion. No i did not adjust for the regular lighting. The white balance is probly the real issue, and i was trying to adjust all kinds of other things. Thank you

In PaintShopPro, when I went to color balance, the "Smart Color Balance" made and adjustment that too it to what I think you were wanting automatically. VERY easy.
I adjusted the white balance and the color saturation. this looks better on my monitor, but now the "bump" looks a little blown out.

Looks like maybe the light was directed at that point. Was 'blown out' in the original too, but the color temp made it look less blown out. What was her skin-tone when this was shot? Does she have a "tanned" look all over? Or fair skin w/o tan, especially on the belly?
If you do have a chance to re-shoot, consider having a thin sheet in front of the light to diffuse it a bit, which should help the blown out spot.
Thanks Wahawk, I will try to re-shoot this weekend and post some results. If the baby is willing to wait for me.

She usually is very tan, but that is ALOT to tan, and not good for baby. I will work on my lighting and try to reshoot this weekend.
