Shahan only used three shots in this picture, out of the 66 shots he took 63 of them were misses... Good for some of our members to know, they often are curious as to how many keepers we get when shooting, I think that some of us do better than others and we all get better with time, personally if I have a really interesting subject I will shoot up to 200 frames on it, knowing that I will not really know what I have until I view it on a monitor.

Beautiful photo. I love doing macro myself. Blurryeyed.... Thank you for the perspective. I always wonder what a person actually went through to get a certain photo. Makes me feel like I can maybe get that shot. But I don't always envision all the throw away pics it took to get to their final product. Nikonian72.... When it comes to macro you are my hero! : ). Mike
