I have been trying to develop my hobby for about a year now. There are still concepts that I just can't wrap my mind around. I have gone on line and looked them up. I have bought books and read and I still can't get a good grip on some concepts. I bought a book yesterday Focus on Digital Photography Basics by Jeff Wignall. I just wanted to put this suggestion out for all the newbies. It is a very plain written book that doesn't use too much "tech" talk.
What are some easy to understand books that you guys have read that have helped?
Look into books written by Scott Kelby and Bryan Peterson.

thanks I have Bryan Peterson's book. I looked at Scott Kelby's books yesterday at B&N, but bought the Focus on Digital Photography Basics because I had bought another one called Focus on Digital Landscape Photography and it was very plainly written. I think the issues I am having is a "my brain" issue and not having the concepts explained in "plain" English.
