Attendees should have a spectacular time - I spent 15 yrs visiting the Yucatan Peninsula and then 5 yrs living there - so much to see and photo - 99% of my photos were lost in my move back to the USA in '05.
The trip will only be the tip of the iceberg of what is there.

As do I. I have neither the time nor the buck$. Looking at the itinerary, it looks like there are lots of opportunities to get some shots of unique creatures. Sounds like a blast.

My daughter - who has lived on the Yucatan near Cancun for 30 yrs just came back from a 5 day trip into Baliz and said it was far better than she had expected but the roads were terrible - but if does make you slow down and enjoy the country.
When I lived with her "Wifie" and I would go down to Baliz once a year to renew our car's import papers - we drove from San Francisco to Cancun in '00 - 4,000 mi in 12 days.

As soon as you got about 30 mi from Baliz the scenery changed so much for the better we always wished we could spend more than the day there. But the 350 mi drive from Cancun to Chetemal ( boarder city)was filled with wonderful experiences also.
