Can anyone tell me how to change the background of a picture. I use aperature software. I've tried to search this site, but I've had not luck. Thanks

Get the software "Smart Photo Editor" it is 39.00 I think and very easy to do with that. It has a tutorial on how built in.

I did this with Photoshop, but the same thing can be done with Gimp, or Photoshop Elements, or (I'm assuming) any other number of similar programs.
I selected the flower, then "masked" the background out of it. You can also "cut" the flower out and paste it on another background. There are a LOT of ways to get this done.
The original looked fine to me....but i did this anyway.
PS: you can't do this with Aperture. Aperture is like Lightroom, it's a "darkroom" for "developing" digital images, not a full blown photo editor like Photoshop.
Your best bet would be to get something like Photoshop Elements 11. It's not that expensive and it will do this kind of thing all day long.

You're right rpavich. I have both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. In ELEMENTS, there is an option called 'Magic Extractor' that makes this type of process super easy. I use Elements more these days than I do the full-blown Photoshop.
