First try with macro

Ok I bought an older Nikon 105mm Macro 1.8. All manual . I had to try it right away, so these are not very good, all hand held, and natural light. I know they are grainy, 1000 iso

ISO 1000 is too high to capture minute detail, expected with high resolution macro-photography. ISO 400 is as high as you should consider. In order to reduce your ISO and decrease your aperture to improve DoF, you should seriously consider speedlight illumination.

I sure I will, I was just excited to get it out there and take some pictures.
