Very nice example of smooth water fall. I'da climbed up and cut off that branch sticking out, but that's just me... :)
Or just crop the picture from the branch down, but I love the picture!!
What a great pic. I disagree with the option of cropping it. I love that it shows the full flow from top to splash down.
Thanks for the kind words. I actually took several of this and some of the origionals are shot below the limb. I think the photo looses something when you take the green grass at the top out.
I thought of that but I didn't want to risk life and limb on this. The bush that the limb comes from is on the side of a bluff. Very dangerous to get to. Also you would have to remove the whole bush. Don't know if the owner would appreciate that.
Thanks for input.
I love the soft misty feel to this pic...like you almost expect to see a unicorn come wandering out of the waterfall. Beautiful and very serene...!

I hope you realize I was just joshin' ya - I am NOT one of those people who goes about 're-arranging' nature to compose a shot to their liking - and even if you weren't photographing things, I like to leave as little imprint as possible. I wonder if, had you moved your vantage point over to the right side, would the branch have been less of an issue? In any case, let me re-iterate that it's a marvelous picture.
In my opinion a shorter exposure of say, 1/100 would have given a little sparkle to the water.
I would like to ask one question. Did you use a Neutral Density filter or just a polarizing one. And I am sure but still asking did you use a tripod? The shot is great and even I try to capture like this but it comes out too bright or the mist feeling is lost.
Great shot! Do reply.
Nice use of a slow shutter speed. The white balance could be corrected some. You will notice a bluish cast to the water. In Photoshop elements you can do color correction and click on an area of water that should be white, it will change to a whiter look. If you shot in raw format, you can also easily change the white balance to get rid of the blueish cast too. Otherwise, looks good.

I don't think anyone suggested Photoshopping the branch, but that would be pretty easy to do. I like the shot, and to shahryar; you may just be over exposing a little, I usually have to under expose a stop or two from the meter reading when shooting waterfalls.
