I'm not posting to start or continue a discussion of the controversy generated by the Adobe Creative Cloud release. I have a specific question that I have so far been unable to find an answer to, so I'll ask in the hopes that someone else may have already found it.
Does anybody know if 3rd party plugins (such as NIK software) are going to work with the CC version of Photoshop? (and if possible, what is it going to involve in order to install them?) If this info is out there, could you kindly point me to the link?

I don't see why not.
The misunderstanding is this: When people keep referring to "the cloud" it conjures up visions of a "thin-client" running on a workstation while the meat of the program is "up in the cloud" somewhere.
The fact is...PS CC IS a real honest to goodness, local version of Photoshop it's installed right there locally on your machine like it always has...it only downloads from "the cloud" to install and it "checks for license" once a month or so....other than that....it's photoshop just like any other upgrade...CS5...CS6....etc.

I am using the CC now and all my plug-ins work the actual program is on my computer
Thanks for he replies. I pretty much figured that would be the case from what I had gathered, but finding no mention on either the adobe site or site for the plugin producer I thought I'd ask.
As I have CS6 and don't feel the CC version of PS offers enough by way of new features that I really need, I'll probably wait for a while before getting on the Cloud. Nice to know plugins won't be an issue.
