My first macro

My first macro photo with my Canon EF 100 mm f2.8L IS USM and T4i camera. A photographer friend was given me pointers and I thought this one was pretty good for a macro newbie. :D

This image is a close-up, not a macro-photograph. With a Canon APS-C sensor & a 100-mm lens, to capture true macro, your working distance (from lens front element to subject) is 160-mm = 6.3-inches. The above photo was taken farther away than 6-inches.

OOPS!! I apparently posted the wrong picture and didn't notice as it took a long time to load. I am posting the one that is a macro. I know I was really close on this one.
