So how are you controlling your images, both for focus and alignment?
First I have my lens pre-focus. I always use the center spot to aim at subject. I moved in until I saw the tips of the antennae in focused, and at the same time Fix the Center Focus Point just below the butterflies face. You need a reference point to stay on target. I then moved a fraction of an inch, watching the focus creep up the antennae, then face, then I watched the legs till I hit the back one all the while just moving forward fractions as I fire the shots off. All the while keeping the center focus point aimed just below the face on this specific stack. My biggest problem, is I still hold my breath and I missed a dozen or so stacks last week because I would stop to breath then lose my spot in the focus chain. You Can't go to far forward then back up.. The software will not read this right and it screws your whole stack up. It Takes Practice.. On my Best jumper stack last week I was able to lean on the building. This stack I was using my knee. It also helps that I wasn't drinking any coffee, this does make a difference.

LOL, Told you that I did not think that I was ever going to get into stacking.
Just set the coffee cup down. It helps if you use two hands.
How hard is it to take 10 out of focus shots in a row. I do this already. Now I take ten out of focus, to get one in focus.
