Adobe Subscription vs. Purchase Comparison

The link below is to an article in CNET, providing a direct comparison over a three year period of purchasing an Adobe suite vs. subscribing to a suite.
If, like me, you have several Adobe products (Photoshop, LightRoom, DreamWeaver), you would find it cheaper to subscribe to a suite rather than purchase and upgrade over a three year period. If you have only one product, yes, it probably would be cheaper to purchase. But many people use more than one Adobe product, and perhaps would love to use more. The suite subscription provides that option.
Interesting article.

Interesting that they do it over a 3 years.
" Over that three-year period, Master Collection and an upgrade would be about $2,644. The Creative Cloud subscription is $1,800. Slam dunk.
Another case is someone who uses just a single title -- Photoshop, most obviously.
That costs $818 for a new version and an upgrade, compared to $720 for a single-product subscription over three years. "
So lets try a 6 year, the Master Collection Cloud becomes $3600 versus $2,644. And Photoshop becomes $1420 versus $818.

However, if you're like many businesses, or even people like me, and upgrade every time, there probably would be two more upgrades in that six-year time frame, making a subscription still less expensive.
