I am republican but for the life of me I do not understand how Sanford had won. I did not know about Elizabeth Bush background and I thought it was a sure thing for her. She lost... so now it does not matter about her. The lesser of to evils wins I guess.

What more can one expect, all we see on TV is ridicule of candidates running, either party. At one time newscasters were highly respected, like Walter Cronkite Dan Rathers and the others but look what we have to deal with now.
If no ridicule then absolute lies about both parties.
Not to many years back if one showed the disrespect for the President that is openly showed today it would have been taken as a personal afront and the fight would be on.
