I wonder if it has the capability to download images from the camera to my Android, including those taken without the use of CamRanger? This issue was much discussed here some time ago with all sorts of weird options being suggested including nested SD cards mounted in a CF/SD adapter. I've emailed the company and will post the reply here.

Yes, you can download your images after the fact. Though depending on how many images you have and what format they are it could take a while.
