Interesting concept. Looks like I'll have a few hundred extra dollars next year to spend on something else.
I'll always keep tuned in to the latest information, but I believe that for my type and level of photography, CS6 will do everything I will ever need in post processing.

I thought that about CS4, and then the improvements in the content aware functions caused me to by CS5 and then CS6.
If the motion blur function that seems to be coming with the next version is really there, I will likely want that as well. I'm not likely to lease it through the CC, though.
Bold move indeed!! I have enough monthly bills without adding another to the tune of $20.00 to $70.00 just to support my hobby. I'm like Travelwp - looks like CS6 is going to last me looong time.

$2.00/month, maybe...$25.00/month - nope. Looks like CS6 is as far as I go. I hope it doesn't include LR. I don't use any of the other products especially the antiquated counter intuitive Illustrator.
My husband and I have been subscribed to the Adobe Creative Suite for months now. It is a wonderful thing. We have a marketing and design studio and work in most of the Adobe programs, so this works for us. The thought of never having to pay for upgrades for many computers is a blessing.

You pay for it every month, don't you? How are you getting it without paying the subscription?

Yes we do pay a monthly fee. But remember, we use all the Adobe Suite programs so for us, it saves money.

I was wondering about Lightroom myself while reading another post. I guess it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
Never been interested in LR. Hope Adobe does not force LR on subscribers to CC. Use only the full Photoshop (and its ACR module) to develop my photographs.
In addition, I do still photography only, except for an occasional video clip needing minimal editing. Have no further interest in doing video, despite the massive advertising push for photographers to move to doing videography.
I always download the Photoshop upgrade and updates via the Internet, but I expect Adobe may offer users with limited or no Internet access the option to buy Photoshop on a disc.

Since you have a business and then I would guess you pass/included the monthly fees into your finish product. For those that do NOT have a business do Not have that way to have someone else pay for us.
Right now you can still get CS6 only or the extended version in the boxed set.

I just upgraded a month ago. Just in time it appears.
I am not against change and relish taking on new challenges. The new Adobe business model will make some users winners and others losers. It appears this will be a winning and money saving move for commercial users but for the hobbyist it may not be so good. In the meantime while this all settles out I am going to get the learning curve on Gimp behind me.
While all of these comments bring interest to me, I am still very Leary of the security of the "Cloud". When I feel comfortable that security and image theft is not an issue then I will consider it. If you now have and use several Adobe programs, will they still support those?
What is the initial cost for getting started?
