Using Nikkor 50mm f1.8 lense for the first time indoors. I was shooting from second tier so I think that was just too far away to get sharp photos. I tried several different WB modes and this was the best I felt I could get. Anyway, be honest and give me all the help you veterans can give.

Not bad at all. Would like for you to have been a little closer but I understand the limits of the 50. Perhaps a different lens.

Shooting with Nikon D5100. Just last month I bought a used sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG MACRO HSM. Hoping its going to be a fun experience. Thanks for viewing and your comments.

With that lens and your shooting, that will be a winner for sure.

You are too kind. Thank you. I see you have the Nikon D600. That is a dream camera. I'll bet you can remember the first day you got it!!

Posting the download would be a plus for c and c... but think number 3 with a crop would be a winner.

Sorry Steve I'm a newbie. Don't know anything about "c and c"? Also, I thought when you posted a picture that was a download?

I use this exact lense when shooting sports for weekly newspapers and a kids sports site. You will love it! what a difference. I use it on a D-7000 and get good results with limited lighting at about 800 ISO.

Thanks Jim. Do you post any of your sports photos on this site? Love to see a few.

Very nice shots. So sharp. Do you have access onto the field or dugout?

Sounds like a pretty good and fun job. Have you been hit or had any close calls being on the field?

The last picture is from a game that just missed my 70 to 200 lens by about 2 feet
