I have seen a few examples of 'out of bounds' images on here recently. My question is. How do I go about creating this effect using CS5?
I am going away for the next 2 weeks, so should anyone be able to help I will be eternally grateful, I'm afraid that I won't be able to reply to you until I return.
I keep my fingers crossed and really hope that someone can help!
I have been scratching my head trying to find the solution, but so far I have drawn a blank. My thanks, now, to anyone who may be able to point me in the right direction. Norman
Hi Norman, if you do a search, there are many helpful links on how to do the OOB. For a start, go into You Tube. There you will find many video tutorials there which will help you.
I looked up OOB CS5 on the computer and lots of info came up. If you have an ipad there is an app called OutColor 2. That is what I mainly use to make my pictures. I warn you it is addictive. Have fun.

Following the various directions you find online gives good results, but an awful lot depends on choosing and arranging the image. Some photos work very well, and others don't work at all.
In Photoshop Elements OOB is a "Guided Edit" that walks you through all the steps -- I don't know if CS offers it that way. Here is one of mine I did recently!
I agree with other comments that some images work well for this effect, while others will not.

I've done it with PSE 10, and it worked fine. I haven't tried it with PSE 11 yet.
