Along with my "dunk the turtles" post, I got these shots - all within 45 minutes. It was a busy place!

The turtle let me get so close, I had to pull back on the 250 mm zoom! The rest are cropped, and obviously have issues, but there are things I like about each, so wanted to share.

For a moment, I thought the heron was eyeing these turtles for lunch, since I had seen a photo here on UHH where a heron tried a smaller turtle, but ultimately discarded it.

Very good set Linda. The image quality, especially in the first two, is superb.

I can see what you like about these photos, Linda. You must have had a great day! I just don't quite understand the last one, but then, I wasn't there!
Nice job!

Excellent set. All are really good, but that mallard looks so regal.

Truly excellent! The GBH on the reeds is really well done, as is the mallard. BUT if I were picking one, it would be the Submersible Devil Dog in the last shot! Just too cool. Without someone mentioning it's a koi, wouldn't have a clue what that thing was. Love the shot!

I didn't think that at all; was glad you ID'd the others for anyone who wondered. You said you didn't know what the bird was, so I supplied. No worries!
