Nice bird pictures, especially the last one. What settings did you use on your SX 50?

Gorgeous photos. Your Eastern Blue Birds look very much like our Western Blue Birds here in San Diego.

I'm using a Nikon D7000 now, but miss the convenience of my old Panasonic FZ 28. I found too many pictures were extremely grainy, especially birds in shadow. You and your new camera are doing a lot better than I could have with mine, especially with movement in low light. Still, your picture are tempting me to look at a quality point-and-shoot again. Thanks so much for sharing.

Nice set! You even caught it carrying away a sack of poop.

Are you ready for these settings...they're wild! You'll have to forgive me...I was experimenting ;-)

The first one was: ISO 1,000 f/6.5 aperture 6.5
The second one was ISO 500 f/6.5 aperture 5.4
The last one was ISO 800 f/5.6 aperture 4.7 at 504mm

All were done manually.
