Hi to all,
I took this image a few days ago and, personally, I like the composition, light influences and how the image is displayed against the background. I'd really appreciate your comments and critiques.

Nikon D600 at ISO 640, with Nikkor 105-mm macro lens, 1/100-sec at f/20 (Aperture Priority).

What is the diameter of the flower, tip-to-tip?

Hello;

The flower is sixty mile away at a New Hampshire ocean side state Park - Odiorne State Park

The flower was approximately 1 inch +/- in diameter from tip to tip

Thanks

Lots of spots on the sensor... particularly on the left top and around the left side of the flower.

I know, the ocean wind must have gotten some dust into the camera while changing lens. I intend to blow out the camera body.

Am I reading this right? The flower is 60 miles away and your shot it with a 105mm macro lens? I'm confused! Can that lens get that kind of shot from that far away?

Funny! I drove to the NH coast from Nashua, NH (60 miles)
But the 105 MM Nikon is a great lens. I need to learn much about Macro. Including stacking.

I ask because your sensor is 23.6-mm wide, and your flower is approximately 25-mm +/-, which makes your capture just about 1:1, quite close to true macro. I wanted to make sure that your flower was not 3-inches diameter, which would make your capture a close-up, not a macro, and therefore belong on the Close-Up Forum.
