Not the prettiest of Jumpers, but hey just look at those loving eyes.

This spider has a tuft of white hair one each of its two forward legs that it keeps seem to be always in motion up and down, that is how it got its name.

I love these little guys. If you can nail them at the right angle you get the best DOF. But, good luck capturing these guys sitting still. I have some little females around the house that have white paws and rust colored faces, great subjects

You notice that I could not get straight on, he was not like the others, even though I brought him over to the bamboo, he immediately jumped off and started running around the table. I had to use my directing him back to the center of the table because he was wanting to leave.

I conned Martin into sending to me, a handful of his table-top studio moss. You should try the same, as the moss calms the jumpers into feeling safe.

I have seen it in his pictures, if I am not mistaken it is what we call spanish moss, it is easy to find just about anywhere in the state. Thanks for the tip...

They like the Spanish moss also. I sent Douglass some Deer Foot moss. The jumpers can climb down in the nooks. Same as a clump of the Spanish moss they hide under cover. The smaller the jumper the bigger the moss looks.
