Bird of Prey in flight over M40 Oxford

These were taken today whilst stuck in a traffic jam

These guys just seemed to be cruising about the airwaves

they were right on the edge of the limit of my 70/300 lens with a lot of cropping but no other PP

You were in one of the right place to see lots of Red Kites, good shots

Karl what a way to get stuck in traffic, glad you made the best of it. Great shots. Do you think he was looking for some road kill?

Yes - there was three there today
we have an office not too far away from where I was and they see these guys regularly

Yes - it normally raining and nothing about when I'm stuck
this was a great opportunity not to be missed - some of the looks I got was like "are you nuts or what??!!" am I bothered - no not really!!!!Hahahaha

We have loads of them over here in Peterborough saw over 30 individual birds last weekend.

Yes - they seem to have pockets of the country now where they thrive - magnificent birds when fully grown

red kite,s and very well captured ,the kite is making a very welcome comeback after being persecuted by farmer,s etc .Your very lucky to see these beauty,s and you captured them nicely so big thumb,s up from me.
