The grand kids and went to the park a week or ten days ago and found a mon and her newly hatched ducklings. I went back a week later and this little fella is all that was left with his mom. Really sad, but that's the way nature goes.

I have not a clue. But there is some rather large carp in the pond, but I don't know if they could be the cause. Snakes, hawks come to mind also.

Nature seems cruel sometimes, but this is a first rate photo. Faboulous perspective.

Poor little thing all by itself. Unfortunately, that's the way of nature.

Great shot. It's the super-low angle that makes it. Were you lying down, or holding a camera with a flip-out screen low enough to do the same thing?

To be honest I was standing straight up on a fairly steep slope. there are many times I would like to get down on the ground, that is no problem. Getting back up is the real problem.
Thanks for your comment and looking.

Sad story but a great shot. Love the angle you took it from.
