Perhaps a "hello, I am..........."

I agree they are handy but a jack of all trades and master of none.

Great for a day out, cycling etc.

Great captures. Just goes to show that a good composition can trump the type of camera in a lot of circumstances.

Very nice shots!! What kind did you get?

There are a LOT of bridge camera users on here!!
Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Fuji and others are all well-represented!!

And many times the results are just as good as the dSLR crowd!

Very good camera, no apologies needed when you are using one of that quality!

As Wahawk said, the FZ200 is a very good camera. It has received good press here on UHH. Your photos are very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Hello and welcome. That's how I started. I used to live just down the road from Nostell Priory at Wentbridge a few years ago and sat at the same table as Prince Philip at the Horse Driving Trials.

Since you were just introducing yourself, it was just fine to put some photos too.

Now when you put more up, people will expect them to be posted in the Photo Gallery or Photo Analysis sections.

Hi Lorraine, you will like it on here just ask anything you want and some will be there to help.
I agree with your choice, I have had several Bridge Cameras and the results were always good. I now have a CSC camera (Olympus PL-1) with just one lens, although I can change the lens if I want, which I don't. I also have a P&S which fits in my pocket as a back up.
Cheers, JE
