Test Cat

I was sitting in the back yard looking for something to practise my apeture priorty and exposue comp on. Bird, plane, large bumble bee, instead I got test cat. After 15 shots she left.

What conclusions did you draw from your results?

The first pic is at +2 and that was too much. I tried 5.6 and 7.1 didn't see much differece. I tried at 0 and -2 and was no happy. +1 seem to be the answer.

It may vary from camera to camera, but I have found that anywhere between 0 & -1 stops is the best exposure setting, since it is much easier to pull detail out of an under exposed shot when post processing, than it is to pull detail from an over exposed shot. However, I'm sure that you will find what works best for you with a little experimentation and practice.
