This lens is used but in like new condition, the glass is clean and clear, free of scratches, marks, haze, dust...etc... The barrel is in excellent condition and shows no signs of handling. The USM works perfect and makes this lens incredible fast and accurate. All functions work as they should. It will not disappoint you in any way. All photos are of the actual lens and included extras.
I purchased this lens from B&H Photo about 14 months ago.
The included lens case is neoprene. The extra lens cover is center pinch for easier removal.
The price $455. including shipping. PayPal preferred for payment.
I don't understand what you mean by "buying the wrong lens."
I have a T3i digital and it works very well with that camera. It is for use with any EOS camera.
This is the lens I use on my Canon 7D... a great lens. I purchased mine in September 2012 for $594 while on vacation in Colorado Springs, Co. It did not come with the case or hood. Sounds like a good price to me. I paid a little too much, but you know how it is on vacation!

Whoever buys this lens will not be sorry (IMHO) I bought one of these last year for macro shooting, it is a very good lens. Many people have stated that it is also good for portraits although I have not used it in this capacity myself.
All I am saying is that lens is made for an SLR camera and not a DSLR camera.

I think you mean full frame versus a crop sensor. This model lens was introduced in 2000. It replaced the older version which was introduced in 1996. It was introduced during the time when film cameras were being produced and so not specifically for digital cameras but for any Canon camera that has the EF mount.
No problem. Steve made it sound as if I was try to pull something and I have no idea why. I bought the lens because It is a great lens. Lens removed from for sale.

So very sad Jerry, someone is having to miss out on a great opportunity to buy your lens.
Sorry Steve you are wrong the lens that Jerry has on offer is for use on a DLSR, and is now discontinued. it's the predecessor to the newer 100mm Macro that comes with Image stabilizer.
I have the same lens and is great but do wish I could afford the newer.
Just thought I would make a correction to my input as well as others.
The lens in question is in fact still available. Check it out on Wexphotographic.com, so Jerry if you still want to sell, do so you will be turning nobody over.
