The Apostles Creed - Seeing the symbols. . .
I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day, He rose again.
He ascended to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen
Hi
I really like the presentation of this shot - and the thought provoking creed/symbol mix
Thanks
very moving presentation. I like that the cross is made of many broken pieces and not just smooth glass. I think that there is just so much symbolism here. Well done!

To some this is just a stained glass window; however, to many the symbolism used makes this much more. Thank you for your kind comments.

Thank you. And by the way, it took five jumps before I decided that skydiving was really not for me! My shoulder still bothers me. . .and that last jump was more than 49 years ago!
This is a lovely expression of faith.
The creed underscores the basis of our faith. Did you know that it preceeded the codex of the New Testament? Although all the books of the New Testament were written by the first century, it wasn't gathered into a book until around the fourth century. An early version of the Apostles Creed is known to have existed as early as the second century.
Your faith continues to inspire me mooseeyes.
By the way, how is your recovery comming along? I'll continue to keep you in prayer.

Thank you for your kind comments. My faith is just that, my faith. A faith that I have held for many years, including in my early years where I served as a Chaplain. I never push my faith on others, nor do I hide my faith. . .for to do so would make it impossible to live my faith.
My recovery seems to be coming along plum fine. Saw my doctor on Friday, all looks good, he took me off two of my meds., and he wants to see me again in a month. I always view the making of another appointment a good sign. :)
