Yeah, I didn't even have to zoom from away; I just kind of snuck up on them.

Usually, I'm getting the shots from a distance with my zoom, but these various birds were at any given time from 25-60 feet away.
SEE DIAGRAM: The birds were in the circle +- and I was standing on the little bridge.
