Can't import new photo into avitar

Followed instructons in profile. Old avitar disappeared new one wont iport. When clicking "upload avatar", path which appears to be correct, goes blank ready for a new one.

Thanks for responding so quickly. The avitar I tried to upload was in quick collection.(LR3) The one I just successfully loaded was not. Was this the problem, ie. can't export from the quick collection?

Hmm, if it's a JPG file, then it shouldn't matter.
If it's already a JPG, can you try re-saving it as JPG again using some graphics editor?
The image processing library used by this forum can't handle certain varieties of JPG files (I think JPEG2000 is one of them). So re-saving using a regular graphics editor might do the trick.
