Hello. I have a MacBook Pro and I would like my pictures in a folder from " My Documents" to be burn in a CD or DVD with music on it. Anybody have done this before without using iPhoto? I did some minor adjustment of white balance at PSE 10 and saved the pictures at "My Documents". Thank you in advance and I appreciate your help.

Best Regards,
Ezrah

Ezrah, I believe your photos should be in the folder that iPhoto looks in for the photos you want to use. I was just checking out my iPhoto program and it doesn't let you search your hard drive on the iPhoto library. If you import them back to iPhoto then it is an easy go from there.

It is easier if you put the folder of photos into iPhoto and have your music in play lists in iTunes. Then use iMovie to make the DVD. You add the photos you want, and add the music you want using iMovie. Then use iDVD to make the DVD. There are pretty good instructions on how it all works on the net so won't try to go into that here...way too long. It works quite well for simple programs and they come with the Mac. I've made many for programs at church.

If you can find a copy of i-DVD, which Apple no longer supports, you can keep you files anywhere and import them.

SueMac is correct but let me add something. Once you have finished your slide show in iMovie, click on "share", "export movie". Choose "export to desktop", hit "export". Once your movie is on your desktop (this will take quite some time depending on how long the movie is) you can drag it to a flash drive OR right click on your movie and select "Burn movie to disk". Insert a CD or DVD that has enough space on it and you should be good to go.

Hope this helps,

Rich

I burned the disk from iMovie, it works with my Mac but the DVD disk cannot be viewed on my friend's Windows PC & DVD Player. So, in order to produce a 302 images that will work on Windows I burned it through the DVD burner without music but it took me a while because I have to rename the files for my friend's event sequence. Any ideas to burn it from iPhoto slideshow that will work on Windows? Thank you for help.
