Hey Coker, there are sites that can pinpoint the manufacturer date of your lens by the serial number, but it does not seem to be the same for bodies. What I can tell you about your 30D is that it was initially announced on February 21, 2006. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_EOS_30D
