Costco for printing

I have a bunch of personal photos that I want to print and I've heard that Costco isn't bad. Previously I've always just used my lab for personal stuff, but in cases where I need something in one-hour I'd like to have other options. I signed up for an online photo account and there was nothing about having a membership in the sign up, but I've been there before with my mother who has a membership and I know they ask for your card at the door. Am I missing something?

You will need a membership to pick up your photos, but they do a very good job at a great price.

You can get a one-time trial pass just to check them out though, its free.

Thanks,I figured I would need a membership to pick up but I just wanted to check. There is also a shipping option...of course that defeats the the whole reason of me wanting to print there (my total impatience when I want something now).

A friend and I use them extensively. Have had up to 20x30 made and they are all excellent, if occasionally a bit darker than I expected. That might be my laptop screen, though. When you go through the steps online, be sure to click auto-correct OFF.

ohallboyz- I've had good quality results using various different Costco Photo Labs over the years. And the price is Right! John

Costco has been my lab of choice for several years. No disappointments yet.

Might be worth you doing a search on this 'cause it has been covered before and you might find better personal options for you.

I just wanted to know specifically about Costco, so my question was answered. Thanks.

I use Costco a lot & they are good. Will reprint for you if you aren't happy with something. Upload from home & they are ready when you get there. I also use them to print projects for friends or family across town who are also members (would work across the country too). Just plan pickup at the Costco nearest them & they can pick them up, saves a lot of transportation/shipping & time!

Use your mothers if she would agree. She may be able to put you on hers. And if she has an executive membership at year end you at rewards check back. Since being member have paid membership every year. Was doing show we needed more print Costco did it while I was waiting. NO ONE could tell difference from custom lab. It has given me pasue. Good luck. Let us know?

This is my first post having just joined. I us Costco exclusively for printing. I did a test with the same photo - submitted one in .jpg and the same in .tiff. What a diffference. The .tiff photo had much better color and clarity than the .jpg. Check to be sure your Costco accepts .tiff.

I have never had a problem. One several occassions, they have even printed an image several different exposures and asked me which one I preferred. One one occasion they gave me both images. On others, they can gave me one image, unless I wanted to pay for it, otherwise they keep the rest for accountability. I totally understood that approach. Good quality and good service and great pricing.
