Bummer! This big annual event in NYC has been canceled ... blamed on sequestration:
http://www.myfoxny.com/story/22058783/new-york-fleet-week-canceledCity will lose millions. Naval military members will lose special leave time. Civilians will miss interaction with military. Another Bummer!
If the ships aren't in NYC, they still have to be somewhere. So where?
Some of my fondest military memories are of events I participated in that were held in NYC.
They are doing the same thing here for the Indy 500 fly over and traditional military recognition day , anything to get the citizens mad and blame it on the Republicans. They could cancel some of the ridiculous duplicate give away programs.
Absolutely, their attitude seems to be "Let's stop the things American taxpayers enjoy." Meanwhile, they continue to give money to ungrateful foreign countries and other questionable programs.

No kidding.I say,let em hate us for free.
Don't be too hard on our Government .
They have to make sure we have enough cash on reserve to keep all the Muslim terroristst here on welfare and then to pay for their Attorneys in case they get caught after bombing our cities .Who else would make sure their
"human rights" aren't being violated ?
And it ain't cheap to keep all of Obama's relatives who are here illegally... on welfare , free medical and free housing .
Not to mention the years of legal costs to make sure they don't get deported and for whenever his uncle get's arrested for drunk driving .
PS: American CITIZENS when getting caught drunk driving get arrested, lose their drivers license , have to attend a "driver education course" and get fined up the gazoo.
He gets a free attorney, no fine and can keep his "illegal" license( I wonder ... could he be the Mau Mau warrior who liberated Auschwitz ,the guy Obama always brags about ? )
