Thought you might enjoy seeing these portraits.
I like them both very much!
Interesting pose in the first one (nice definition of those muscles, yum!)... and a great, friendly, character-filled face in the second one.
Looks like someone I'd befriend in a heartbeat *smiles*
There is no beauty like that of a well kept body...
and friendly face....wonderful.
Yes, I agree with you Tilde. Nothing wrong with lookin, is it? LOL
Great lighting on the first photo. Did you have blue tinted lights on him or did you alter the highlights afterwards? Just curious. Cutting off his hand kind of bothers me as far as composition goes but still like the photo. The strong bold line in the background does balance it out though. The second photo is incredible. Love the framing of the face with the hoody. The details of his facial characteristics are perfect. All natural...no smoothing out wrinkles or making him look younger. Love it.
The blue in the first photo didn't come either from blue lights or processing. This is what you get when you have bright blue sky and very dark skin. I once photographed a similar person (bodybuilder) on a hillside when the sun was rising on the other side of the hill and the subject was totally in shade. Again, there was nothing above him but sky. His entire body seemed outlined by a blue (reflected light from the sky) that was almost electric.
Incredible. I'd love to see your photo of the person on the hillside.

Like both very much. Picky, p[icky a bit. I would have removed the small curl below the ear on #1.
I think you're right about the curl. (Actually it is an earring.)
I'm reminded of the quote "A mind is a terrible thing to waste, and a waist is a terrible thing to mind"; obviously tho, the subject of the first photo hasn't minded minding his waist. :) Great portraits.
