Mockingbird, couldn't pass this one up - You can be the Judge

Here in the south there are a lot of Mockingbirds and we have tons of images of them, but this image turned out to be a keeper in my opinion.

It has been modified slightly using Topaz Adjust 4 to bring out more detail in the bird then merged with the original image in Photoshop CS5 so only the bird was modified and the background the original image.

I am including the original so you can see the difference.

Nikon D300, Nikkor 300 mm f/2.8, with a Nikon TC-17E Teleconverter, Exposure 1/800 sec at f/6.3, ISO 400, no flash

Jon, that Mockingbird is BEAUTIFUL. Mockingbirds in my mind are mean (at least they are in Texas). But he is gorgeous, you did a great job!

Great photo and this is a perfect example of quality. The exposure is perfect, the sharpness is perfect and you got him to pose perfectly

Well done

I'm a big fan of artistic backgrounds and this has it along with a bird with a twinkling eye. Nice!

Fantastic shot of the bird-- the background is hurting my eyes- it looks 3d
