In Darrell Young's Book Mastering the D7000, page 113 bullet # 3 he states that in multiple exposure we can choose from 2 to 10 images in the one exposure. My D7000 only permits 2 or 3 shots. Does anyone (Darrell Young has not replied) have an answer to this dilema?

I think you will find that is a typo. The D7000 (and the D7100) only allow for up to 3 shots in a multiple exposure.
I have seen similar technical errors in Youngs publications.
The D800's will allow up to 10 shots.

3 seems to be the limit - as Nikon uses many of same features and limits on their cameras I checked my D5200 and it will only do up to 3 shots in a multi-exposures. This is from doing it in the camera not just reading the manual...K

The production of these books seems to be based on using the copy and edit functions available in word processing software. Unfortunately their editing function applied by humans isn't always up to the task!
I've found that any several other copy induced failure in their data.
Sad to say but this is more and more the MODERN way.
I had a will drawn up at a cost that wasn't cheap. . . only to find another persons name in the body of the text. Same problem . . My wife was one very upset camper when that was discovered and made certain that he lawyer in question knew it. . . "hell hath no . . ."

The D600 allows only 3 images also.
Howsomever . . . . since I'm on a tripod and fully manual, I merely change the initial exposure and shoot again.

Alas! I figured as much, but I am disappointed. We demand Instant Gratification but don't accept any errors. Why can't we slow down and Do It Right the First Time Every Time, before we forge ahead with Horse Blinders on.

Is that where you set it to take three shots then it takes a second and makes
One pic . What is that good for , taking pic. Of runners , fast cars , sports of any kind . Or are you talking about bracketing three shots Over - on-under?
Just wondering

No. If you wanted, for example, to take a portrait of the same person looking in two different directions, shot one would face left, shot two, right, but it would be on the same frame.

With out the person turning there head. Would that be on the same side . And just look like right and left. Or im guessing you would have all week to take the shots as long as you dont turn the camera off.

Obviously the person would need to turn his/her head between shots. No camera movement permitted between shots so do then ASAP. If your camera would last a week ON with one battery ?????
